When a well-known refiner in the Middle East sought on-site blast-resistant shelters to keep crew members better protected, it turned to Hunter. Our team rose to the challenge, designing, engineering and manufacturing structures rated for up to 8 PSI (550 mbar) field overpressure, and built to the customer’s exacting specifications. Once Hunter constructed and completed fit-out processes, we also handled delivery and installation of the completed modules. The finished project included 15 shelters — with varying design layouts — featuring everything from meeting space, to locker facilities, prayer rooms and showers. With telecom services, HVAC systems, fire and gas considerations, these structures foster safe, efficient and comfortable operations in even the most extreme environments.
